As he stood in front of the bathroom mirror, staring at his reflection, Arjun couldn’t help but feel a sense of disgust wash over him. He had always struggled with his weight, had always tried to lose the extra pounds. But now, as he looked at himself, he couldn’t believe how far he had let himself go.
He had always thought that he was in control, had always thought that he had the discipline to take care of himself. But now, as he looked at his swollen belly and jiggling arms, he realized that he had lost control. He had let himself go, had let his health slip away.
“I’m a mess,” Arjun thought to himself, his shame growing. “I’m fat, I’m unhealthy, I’m undisciplined. I’m not the man I want to be. I’m not the man I should be.”
He knew he had to make a change, knew that he couldn’t keep living this way. But the thought of going to the gym, of facing the judgment of others, was overwhelming. He wasn’t sure if he had the motivation to take that first step.
But as he stood there, feeling lost and helpless, Arjun knew that he had to try. He couldn’t keep living a life that wasn’t fulfilling. He had to find the strength to take control, to take care of himself.
