Goodbye

Ravi stood at the airport, his heart heavy and his eyes filled with tears. He watched as the plane took off, carrying the love of his life away from him.

He had never thought it would come to this, never thought he would have to say goodbye to the woman he had loved for so long. He had always thought they would have more time, more time to laugh and love and grow old together.

But life is cruel, and it doesn’t always give us what we want. It doesn’t always give us a chance to say all the things we want to say, to do all the things we want to do. It doesn’t always give us a chance to say goodbye.

“I wish I could turn back time, go back to the day we met and do things differently,” Ravi thought to himself. “I wish I could have loved you better, been a better husband, a better man. I wish I could have given you everything you deserved.”

But it was too late now. It was too late for regrets and what-ifs. All Ravi had was this moment, this goodbye. And he just wanted her to know that he would always love her, no matter what happened. She would always be a part of him, a part of his heart.

“Goodbye, my love. Goodbye,” Ravi whispered as the plane disappeared into the clouds.
